There is no better time than Back to School when it comes to schedules, calendars, new beginnings, and some long overdue grooming.
Last night we all gathered in the family room, popped in "Soul Surfer" and went about trimming, painting and prepping.
Even the boys got in on the affair. A.J. trimmed Easton's hair and Easton let us trim him nails. Perfect.
The girls were a little more maintenance. We trimmed all ten toes and fingers, followed by gentle filing and pink polish. We have about 70 bottles of nail polish, but the girls managed to all pick the same color! They are more alike than different! I love that!
The night ended with an inspiring story of a girl who lost an arm to a shark but still realized her dreams, Oreos shakes by A.J., and family prayer.
It is going to be a challenging year, but we are up for the challenge.

Okay the only problem is I don't see mom's hands in there. Remember mom needs some pampering too! Big year for you all--deep breath!
