Roseville, CA comes to Parker, CO

We had the privilege today of having not one, but TWO families that we love here from Cali!
The Rawlings have been here in Colorado for a couple of years, but will be moving to Utah soon.
The Weists still live in California, but have been here in Colorado for a month or so.
And today...
We got to have both families over to play!
These women are amazing!
They are two of the most incredible mothers that I know, and to have them here for hours of conversation was priceless.
These are the kind of women that inspire you to be better!
I love being with them!
And the kids...

15

Madie turned 15 at Girls' Camp this year!

At first I think she was a little disappointed about it, but boy was it fun!

She packed up in the morning out at our 4th year hike location, celebrated with suckers instead of homemade cupcakes :), drove to the main camp, hiked in, and celebrated with the entire camp of girls singing "Happy Birthday!"

Madie, you ROCK!

We love you!

When we got home, the kids had put up the traditional streamers, placed the presents perfectly by the fireplace, and begged Madie to open each of their hand-picked treasures!
Annie's was "Big Sister" and "Little Sister" necklaces.

Now that is the gift that gives to the birthday girl and the little sister!

Madie scored a darling purse from her aunt!
Kit Kats and key chains from Nana and Papa!  Along with earrings, dinner, and lots of love!

Brooke and A.J. got in on the gift-giving too!

Ellie was brilliant with the amazon.com card...I may just have to order a thing or two on that gift!

Madie also got a sweet gift from her sweet friend, Andrew!
Here is a list of what we LOVE about Madie: (15 for her 15th!)

1. Your dad loves how you take chances, and work hard to make those possibilities a reality!

2.  I love how you always figure out a way to get whatever you put  your mind to accomplished.

3. Brooke and Ellie think you are amazing with hair!

4.  Tymber loves to stare at you! :)

5. Easton loves that you are full of energy like him!

6. A.J. is grateful to have you be on his side and defend him like the dickens!

7. You are fearless!

8. You love being first in challenging things. (Madie had to be in the front of every hike, every climb, and every adventure.)

9. You love your friends!

10. You work really hard in school, and it pays off.

11. You have made your room one of the coolest places in our home!

12. You love your dad.

13. You humor your mom, and love her too!

14. You can do anything!

15. You love that we all LOVE you!

As we were pulling out of Alamosa the morning of Madie's 15th, this is the car were spotted!

Madie had just spent the last few days motivating everyone around her to do "hard things."

She kept shouting, "Y.O.L.O.!"

"You only live once!"

She is right.

You only live once!

Madie may you spend your life being happy.

May you celebrate your successes and learn from your mistakes.

Forgive everyone, because you never know their story completely.

Laugh!  Laugh a lot!

Take chances and live life to the fullest!

I love you Madison Ann!

Happy 15th sweetheart!
