I LOVE General Conference weekend!
I love it for so many reasons! The fact that we don't have the pressures of regular church, we get to live in our p.j.s, and we have several conference traditions that I love to share with our children.
This year Madie printed off the annual "General Conference Books" that we find on www.sugardoodle.com every year!
They even had a youth version, which was a nice change-up for the older kids.
We also pulled out our Conference journals, where the kids write down different things about talks they heard. (Some of the entries are truly note-worthy and others, not so much. We even have some very interesting drawings.)
We also have CREPES! We love crepes, and Sundays are the perfect days to have them. Conference Sunday is even better, because we can have them before and during the first session.
Traditions are wonderful!
They are the things that tie our children to our family and their childhood.
However, the BEST part of the whole weekend is being gathered with your children, listening to the Prophet and those that serve with them, as they give you words that humble you, inspire you and make you want to work even harder to get this family where they need to be.
The talks this year were no exception.
They were perfect.
Filled with counsel, ideas, stories and love.
If you have already forgotten your favorite, or missed a session, listen to a talk a day at www.lds.org.
I think I will start tomorrow.
Wonderful weekend filled with family and blessings!
